A great many of the people who have come to know him over the years generally describe Adam Quirk as a highly experienced and wise criminal justice professional, but that description leaves out a significant part of the story. Over the course of the last decade and a half or so, Adam has compiled a record that points to a stellar career record in the Criminal Justice. One reason for that is, Adam Quirk long ago made a commitment to keeping his country and his community safer. It was a commitment made following the horrible terrorist attacks that hit New York, Washington, DC and Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, 2001.
Following that horrible event, Adam Quirk was motivated to take a job conducting thorough background investigations for candidates who wanted to hold the important position of Air Marshall. Because of the increased importance of these law enforcement officials in a post-9/11 world, it was necessary for all of them to have very high level security clearances, which is why background investigations had to be thorough. On his own, Adam Quirk performed thousands of in-person interviews of potential candidates as part of a highly skilled team of investigators and his completion rate was one of the best in the country. His efforts drew accolades from his higher-ups.
In short, Adam Quirk played a significant role in a very important job; making sure those assigned with keeping the nation safe were up to the job. Not long after that experience, Adam Quirk began a long career with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), where he served as a diversion investigator, looking into cases in which controlled drugs that were on their way to pharmacies, hospitals or other legal sellers, but end up in the hands of criminals, who sell them illegally for a profit.
