The Esteemed Adam Quirk’s Criminal Justice Career

Adam QuirkA great many of the people who have come to know him over the years generally describe Adam Quirk as a highly experienced and wise criminal justice professional, but that description leaves out a significant part of the story. Over the course of the last decade and a half or so, Adam has compiled a record that points to a stellar career record in the Criminal Justice. One reason for that is, Adam Quirk long ago made a commitment to keeping his country and his community safer. It was a commitment made following the horrible terrorist attacks that hit New York, Washington, DC and Pennsylvania on Sept. 11, 2001.

Following that horrible event, Adam Quirk was motivated to take a job conducting thorough background investigations for candidates who wanted to hold the important position of Air Marshall. Because of the increased importance of these law enforcement officials in a post-9/11 world, it was necessary for all of them to have very high level security clearances, which is why background investigations had to be thorough. On his own, Adam Quirk performed thousands of in-person interviews of potential candidates as part of a highly skilled team of investigators and his completion rate was one of the best in the country. His efforts drew accolades from his higher-ups.

In short, Adam Quirk played a significant role in a very important job; making sure those assigned with keeping the nation safe were up to the job. Not long after that experience, Adam Quirk began a long career with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), where he served as a diversion investigator, looking into cases in which controlled drugs that were on their way to pharmacies, hospitals or other legal sellers, but end up in the hands of criminals, who sell them illegally for a profit.

One reason Adam Quirk was such a key player on those teams was because of his commitment to learn everything he could about every aspect of each case.

Adam Quirk is always trying to learn everything he can about new techniques and technologies that could help him move forward in his law enforcement career. However, the truth is, he also continues to study as much as he can academically. Back in 2001, Adam earned a Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. In 2007, he earned a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Boston University. In recent years, Adam Quirk is working toward a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. In his unending quest for knowledge, Adam Quirk spends a lot of his time reading and absorbing criminal justice-related literature, examining case studies, journal articles and anything he can find that might enlighten him

Based largely on his investigatory experience, Adam Quirk played a key role in many long-term investigations and he made many security assessments for registrants for the DEA. Registrants are those who are permitted to have certain Schedule II narcotics under DEA regulations, such as treatment center personnel and representatives of distributors and manufacturers.
